Trump To Support Nationwide Concealed Carry

President-elect Donald Trump has come out swinging in his support of the second amendment. Trump called for both the elimination of gun and magazine bans, calling them "total failures" and also calling for concealed carry permits to be honored nation-wide.
Trump made the comparison between drivers licenses and concealed carry permits, noting that drivers licenses are issued by states, but honored through the country. "If we can do that for driving -- which is a privilege, not a right -- then surely we can do that for concealed carry, which is a right, not a privilege," Trump said. Sheepdog Firearms Training founder Erik Stone has long been an advocate of nationwide concealed carry reciprocity, but also cautioned against allowing the federal government from establishing a federal nationwide concealed carry permit,. "Concealed carry permits need to stay on the state level, so our rights aren't left up the whim of an executive order of an anti-gun president. Concealed carry should be fully legal in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. I mean seriously, if the Supreme Court can tell states they have to honor marriage certificates from all states, then how can they not honor all concealed carry permits? This is a battle we can win", Stone said Monday from their office in Colorado.
